The new Whitbread Prize Winner, Philip Pullman, is asked "What has
been your most memorable holiday?"
He replied: "We went to Lake Bled in Slovenia a few years ago and
found ourselves at a folk music festival with a great Scottish band called
Deaf Shepherd. Travel should be about coming across the unexpected and
their style of bagpipe playing certainly qualified"
